It's a nice sunny day. You're driving on the highway and there's surprisingly no traffic. You think to yourself, "Wow...could this get any better?" When all of a sudden, BAM. The truck off in the distance carrying what seem to be boulder-sized rocks decides to send a small parting gift as it exits the freeway. As you curse at the truck driver, you notice a small crater has formed in the beautifully curved glass of your go-mobile. Thoughts of expensive glass repairs, or God forbid, replacing the entire windshield rush through your mind.
Well...actually, probably not. Most people actually ignore these small "rough spots" on their cars (this extends to ignoring car maintenance entirely, but that's a subject for a different time). The danger with these small nuisances is that they can really become big problems if left alone. The scenario I described above actually happened to me a few days ago, and I'm here to tell you that you can fix it for less than $10 in under 1 hour.

My new little friend. |
If left alone, a small chip or crack like the one from my car above will turn into a crack that can extend across the entire windshield.

With just a bit of work and less than an hour, the eye-sore of a chip is now free from my windshield. You can buy the kit I used using the affiliate link below. It comes with everything you need for the job and is made in the USA.
